the names of things by the way I sing never sound ordinary
ordinary is the word but as soon as it's said it makes everything so much heavy

ordinary is not right and right is not quite the word I might use

the roots of the heart - that's where I should start to do the things I need to do
to stop feeling shy - I'll try to be dry and tell you my way that I love you

so the song of a bird by whoever it's heard casts one's heart like a spell
but you hang to the words and I wasn't born a bird - I was a child who grew up to tell

but I'm on my way - sorry for the delay - but I can't do much about this
to feel like a fool and drown in a pool of words when I could just kiss
